co-founded algorave izmir alongside aybike özsöyke to bring live coding music and digital arts to izmir. algorave is a global movement where music and visuals are made by writing code in real-time, projected on screens for the audience to see.
we organize events, workshops, and performances in izmir, aiming to make algorithmic art accessible and build a community around the intersection of music, code, and physical systems.
within the community, i wear multiple hats. besides handling technical operations like building our website, i act as the mechatronics engineer of the collective. i build interactive installations and experimental instruments, like a polargraph plotter machine and stepper motors that make music by vibrating at specific frequencies.
on stage, i perform using a custom fork of Strudel (a tidal-based live coding environment) that i modified to suit my performance style.
